What Permissions are Required in SharePoint for SmartDocs Users?

SmartDocs security and permissions are implemented and enforced using standard SharePoint permissions. When you set up permissions in SharePoint, SmartDocs automatically honors those permissions:

• Express users need READ access to the SharePoint site that contains the Repository Registry list and READ access to the SharePoint site that contains the SmartDocs Repository itself.
• Professional users need READ access to the SharePoint site that contains the Repository Registry list and CONTRIBUTE access to the SharePoint site that contains the SmartDocs Repository itself.
• If the user will be creating/maintaining SmartDocs repositories, then they need DESIGN (or FULL CONTROL) access to the SharePoint site that contains the Repository Registry list and DESIGN (or FULL CONTROL) access to the SharePoint site that contains the SmartDocs Repository itself.
