You can transfer your SmartDocs license to another individual on your writing team by deactivating and removing SmartDocs from your computer. By deactivating and removing SmartDocs, your SmartDocs license will be released; so it can be used by another user.
To Deactivate Your Copy of SmartDocs Directly from Microsoft® Word
- Select the SmartDocs tab.
- Click the About drop-down menu.
- Select the SmartDocs Licensing option.
- Click Deactivate SmartDocs.
SmartDocs will then connect to the SmartDocs Activation Server, record your deactivation, and then deactivate SmartDocs on your computer.
Once deactivated, you can remove (uninstall) SmartDocs from your computer by following the steps in this article titled How do I Remove/Uninstall SmartDocs from my Computer?
After SmartDocs has been deactivated and removed from your computer, the new user can install and activate SmartDocs on their computer.
