SmartDocs automatically maintains a set of log files in order to help the 36Software support team troubleshoot issues. Your log files can be saved to a ZIP file using the Save SmartDocs Log Files dialog box.
- Go to the SmartDocs ribbon.
- Select the About drop-down menu.
- Select Need Help?
- Select the SmartDocs Log Files option.
- Click Save.
Once you have saved the ZIP file to your computer, you can attach the ZIP file to your support ticket to send the log files to our support team.
NOTE: If you are unable to save your log files from the SmartDocs user interface, you can manually retrieve your log files from the following location on your computer.
Windows® XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\ThirtySix Software\SmartDocs\Log
Windows® Vista, 7, and 8
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ThirtySix Software\SmartDocs\Log
Once you have located your log files, you can manually save the contents of the log folder to a ZIP file and attach the ZIP file to your support ticket.
